Alpha Tau Medical Ltd. (NASDAQ: DRTS) announced results from two clinical trials of its Alpha DaRT cancer treatment in patients with pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The company presented pooled data from the trials at Digestive Disease Week 2026 in Jerusalem.

The trials included 26 patients with localized unresectable and metastatic pancreatic cancers. Among 19 evaluable patients, all achieved local disease control based on modified RECIST v1.1 criteria, with 15 patients showing stable disease and 4 showing partial response. The patient population included individuals ineligible for chemotherapy and those who had received up to four prior lines of chemotherapy.

The treatment demonstrated what the company described as a favorable safety profile. Eight device-associated adverse events occurred in 7 of the 26 subjects, with nearly all resolving within two weeks except for one case of lingering fatigue.

Alpha DaRT uses radium-224 impregnated sources delivered directly into tumors through endoscopic ultrasound guidance. The treatment aims to deliver alpha-particle radiation to destroy tumor cells while limiting exposure to surrounding healthy tissue.

The results were presented by Philip Blumenfeld, MD, from Hadassah Medical Center, where both clinical protocols were conducted. This marked the first presentation of Alpha DaRT clinical results at a major gastroenterology conference.

Alpha Tau, founded in 2016, focuses on developing alpha-radiation cancer therapies. The company is conducting an ongoing U.S. multicenter pancreatic cancer trial called IMPACT. The Alpha DaRT treatment has not received approval for commercialization in the United States.
