Coca-Cola Consolidated plans $35 million Indianapolis facility expansion

May 4, 2026 9:01 AM

Coca-Cola Consolidated (NASDAQ: COKE) announced a $35 million investment to expand its Indianapolis manufacturing facility with a new glass bottle production line. The expansion will add bottling capabilities for glass bottles at the facility located at 5000 W. 25th Street.

Construction is scheduled to begin in late 2026, according to the company's announcement. The project is expected to create 15 to 20 new full-time positions and generate additional economic activity through construction, suppliers, and local services.

The expansion will make the Indianapolis facility one of three locations in the United States capable of bottling beverages in glass within the Coca-Cola System. The facility currently operates four production lines, including two PET and rPET bottle lines and two can lines, along with a production warehouse.

"This expansion is another example of how we strategically invest in our business to build a solid operational foundation and create opportunities for our teammates in the communities where they live and work," said Dave Katz, President and Chief Operating Officer at Coca-Cola Consolidated.

The Indianapolis facility has been operating since 1968. Coca-Cola Consolidated employs more than 1,200 people across nine facilities in Indiana, serving over 17,500 businesses throughout the state.

Coca-Cola Consolidated, headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, is the largest Coca-Cola bottler in the United States. The company distributes beverages across 14 states and the District of Columbia to approximately 60 million consumers.
