The James Beard Foundation announced a multi-year partnership with American Express (NYSE: AXP) and Resy, with the companies serving as presenting sponsors of the 2026 James Beard Awards ceremonies scheduled for June 13-15 in Chicago.

American Express and Resy will function as the foundation's official credit card and reservations platform. The partnership extends beyond the awards to include presenting sponsorship of the James Beard Foundation's Taste America culinary event series, which features annual TasteTwenty cohort chefs through tastings and dinners in cities nationwide.

The companies will support the foundation's broader programming year-round, including initiatives with the JBF Institute focused on training, education and advocacy for the independent restaurant industry. The partnership will also back Platform by the James Beard Foundation, the organization's show kitchen and educational space at Pier 57 in New York City.

"As the James Beard Foundation enters an exciting new chapter of growth, we are excited to join forces with such a mission-aligned partner," said Clare Reichenbach, CEO of the James Beard Foundation.

Pablo Rivero, CEO of Resy and SVP of American Express Global Dining, said the partnership will create opportunities to spotlight restaurant partners and provide American Express Card Members exclusive access to JBF programs.

The James Beard Foundation is a nonprofit organization that has recognized culinary talent through the James Beard Awards for 40 years. Resy operates as a digital dining platform owned by American Express, providing reservation booking services for restaurants and diners.
