NUVVE JAPAN names Shigeki Mori as finance chief effective May 2026

May 1, 2026 8:00 AM

NUVVE JAPAN K.K., a subsidiary of Nuvve Holding Corp., announced the appointment of Shigeki Mori as Executive Officer of Finance, effective May 2026.

Mori previously served as Director and CFO of THECOO Inc., where he led the company's initial public offering on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Growth Market in December 2021. He holds an MBA from the University of Southern California and graduated from Keio University's Faculty of Commerce.

The company operates as a Resource Aggregator, integrating grid-scale storage batteries and vehicle-to-grid chargers into a Virtual Power Plant platform. NUVVE JAPAN plans to transition to an "Asset-Holding Model," owning and operating storage batteries and vehicle-to-grid infrastructure.

The company outlined three strategic areas: establishing investment schemes for grid-scale batteries and vehicle-to-grid infrastructure, maximizing revenue through battery asset ownership, and strengthening corporate governance for a potential listing.

NUVVE JAPAN provides energy solutions for the Japanese market using vehicle-to-grid technology from its U.S.-based parent company. The parent company, Nuvve Holding Corp., develops energy management platforms and vehicle-to-grid solutions from its San Diego headquarters.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
