Curaleaf appoints Four 20 Pharma founder Torsten Greif to board
Curaleaf Holdings, Inc. (TSX: CURA) announced the appointment of Torsten Greif to its board of directors, according to a company statement.
Greif is a founder of Four 20 Pharma GmbH, Curaleaf's German cannabis brand. He has experience in cannabis cultivation, regulatory strategy, and brand development. Under his leadership, Four 20 Pharma achieved a majority stake sale to Curaleaf.
"We're thrilled to welcome Torsten to the global Curaleaf leadership team," said Boris Jordan, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Curaleaf. "Torsten's vision, deep local knowledge, and proven ability to execute in complex regulatory environments will be tremendous assets as we continue to scale Curaleaf's European operations."
Greif stated he is "honored to join Curaleaf at this important stage of the company's international expansion." He noted that the European cannabis market is evolving rapidly and expressed his intention to work with teams to deliver EU-GMP-certified medical cannabis to Germany and other markets.
Four 20 Pharma GmbH is a European producer and distributor of medical cannabis with EU-GMP and GDP licensing. The company launched its "420NATURAL" brand in 2020 and employs 41 people from its Paderborn, Germany base.
Curaleaf operates as an international provider of consumer cannabis products across medical and adult use markets. The company maintains operations in Europe, Canada, and Australasia through its distribution network.
