April 30, 2026 4:35 PM

Monolithic Power Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: MPWR) announced the resolution of a patent infringement lawsuit filed by Bel Power Solutions Inc. in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. The court ruled in favor of Monolithic Power Systems, with Bel Power Solutions agreeing to pay $50,000 in court costs.

Bel Power Solutions had filed claims against Monolithic Power Systems related to six semiconductor patents. The Western District Court of Texas granted Monolithic Power Systems' motion for summary judgment of non-infringement on all patent claims.

During the proceedings, Monolithic Power Systems initiated ex parte reexamination proceedings at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, which resulted in the cancellation of four of Bel Power Solutions' patents. Following these developments, Bel Power Solutions agreed to resolve the lawsuit by acknowledging Monolithic Power Systems as the prevailing party.

The $50,000 payment represents court costs awarded under Federal Rule of Civil Procedure 54(d). Perkins Coie LLP represented Monolithic Power Systems in the case.

Monolithic Power Systems is a fabless semiconductor company that provides power electronics solutions. The company was founded in 1997 and is headquartered in Schaffhausen, Switzerland.
