Versus Systems renews partnership with Texas Rangers through 2026 season

Versus Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: VS) renewed its technology partnership with the Texas Rangers through the 2026 Major League Baseball season, the company announced. The agreement extends a five-year collaboration involving the company's Filter Fan Cam technology at Globe Life Field.



The platform allows fans attending games to appear on the stadium's video board with digital filters, animated overlays and real-time visual effects. The renewed agreement includes deployment of an upgraded version of the system.



The company also signed an additional agreement to expand the scope of its Filter Fan Cam deployment, increasing the volume and variety of augmented reality fan experiences available to Rangers audiences.



The upgraded platform incorporates several technical improvements, including a C++ tracking engine for real-time face detection and tracking, a new camera driver operating at 60 frames per second to reduce latency, and improved facial tracking capabilities for larger crowds. The system also features enhanced filter stability and a dynamic face-paint feature for themed graphics.



The technology integrates with the Unity game engine to keep digital effects aligned with fans as they appear on video boards. Teams can incorporate sponsor branding into the visual filters, creating digital advertising inventory tied to fan participation.

Chris DeRuyscher, Vice President of Ballpark Entertainment for the Rangers, said the team plans to continue exploring and expanding the interactive experience with the upgraded platform during the 2026 season.
