01 Quantum Inc. (TSXV: ONE) (OTCQB: OONEF) announced that Dr. Edoardo Persichetti has been elected to its board of directors following shareholder approval at the company's annual meeting. Dr. Persichetti previously served as a consultant for the cybersecurity company.

Dr. Persichetti is an associate professor at Florida Atlantic University and a researcher in code-based cryptography. He co-authored several algorithms submitted to the NIST Post-Quantum Standardization process, including HQC, which was selected as a global standard in 2025. He holds a PhD from the University of Auckland and has held research positions at Warsaw University.

Dr. Persichetti stated, "Having worked closely with the team over the past year, I am honored to join the Board and help guide the Company's strategic vision."

In connection with his appointment, 01 Quantum granted Dr. Persichetti options to purchase up to 100,000 common shares at $0.43 per share for four years from April 28, 2026. The options vest quarterly in four tranches of 25,000 shares each, beginning October 28, 2026. After granting these options, the company will have 9,205,000 options outstanding under its stock option plan.

01 Quantum develops post-quantum cryptography technologies designed to protect digital systems against quantum computing threats. The company's IronCAP technologies are protected by U.S. patents #11,271,715 and #11,669,833.
