Teledyne merges ChartWorld and Raymarine Commercial navigation brands
Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE: TDY) announced it is unifying ChartWorld and Raymarine Commercial under a single commercial navigation brand called Raymarine Commercial, according to a company statement.
The consolidation will transition ChartWorld's commercial navigation solutions and services into the Raymarine Commercial brand. ChartWorld was acquired by Teledyne in 2023 and provides digital navigation, ECDIS, and managed service capabilities to the commercial shipping sector.
"Bringing ChartWorld and Raymarine Commercial together under one unified brand is a clear example of how Teledyne integrates strategic acquisitions to strengthen our core business," said Grégoire Outters, President of Teledyne Marine Group.
The unified brand will combine ChartWorld's software capabilities and service infrastructure with Raymarine's marine hardware technology, including IMO-approved marine radar and ECDIS navigation systems. The integration creates a navigation offering that spans ECDIS, radar, sensors, data services, and remote support.
Stephan Dimke, General Manager of ChartWorld, said the unification allows the combined organization to serve as a partner to customers navigating increasing vessel connectivity requirements.
The consolidation occurs as the maritime industry prepares to adopt the S-100 universal hydrographic data model for electronic navigation. Teledyne operates primarily in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Western and Northern Europe, providing digital imaging products, instrumentation, aerospace and defense electronics, and engineered systems.
