JetBlue expands China Airlines partnership with point redemptions
JetBlue Airways Corp. (NASDAQ: JBLU) announced that TrueBlue loyalty program members can now redeem points for China Airlines flights, expanding an existing partnership between the carriers.
The enhancement allows TrueBlue members to book qualifying China Airlines flights through jetblue.com or the JetBlue mobile app using their accumulated points. China Airlines Dynasty Flyer members can similarly redeem miles for JetBlue flights across the airline's network.
The partnership provides TrueBlue members access to destinations across Asia including Taipei, Kaohsiung, Bangkok, and Manila through China Airlines' network. Members can book both standard and premium cabin experiences using their points.
"China Airlines is an exciting addition to our growing list of TrueBlue loyalty partners, giving our members new opportunities to explore exciting destinations across Asia through China Airlines' extensive network and award-winning long-haul service," said Ed Pouthier, vice president of loyalty and personalization at JetBlue.
The redemption capability builds on an existing interline partnership between JetBlue and the Taiwan-based carrier. JetBlue stated the enhancement aims to serve Asian American communities in New York City and other markets.
The announcement follows recent enhancements to JetBlue's Premier World Elite Mastercard, which includes a 15% redemption rebate on TrueBlue points for award flights, including partner airlines like China Airlines.
JetBlue operates flights to more than 100 destinations across the United States, Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, and Europe from its key markets including New York, Boston, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood, Los Angeles, Orlando, and San Juan.
