Silo Pharma comments on federal psychedelic therapy initiatives
Silo Pharma Inc. (NASDAQ: SILO) issued a statement regarding recent federal actions aimed at advancing psychedelic-based therapeutics for mental health and substance use disorders. The company said these initiatives validate its approach to treating neurological and psychiatric conditions.
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health announced initial awardees under its EVIDENT program, including Johns Hopkins University and other institutions focused on psychedelic science. The Food and Drug Administration granted investigational new drug clearance to DemeRx NB for its noribogaine candidate targeting alcohol use disorder.
The FDA issued three Commissioner's National Priority Vouchers to Compass Pathways, Usona Institute, and Transcend Therapeutics. The agency confirmed that final guidance for psychedelic drug development will be published soon.
