Instructure partners exclusively with K16 Solutions for Canvas migrations
Instructure announced an exclusive strategic partnership with K16 Solutions to provide migration services for institutions transitioning from legacy learning management systems to Canvas LMS. The agreement gives Instructure exclusive access to K16's automated LMS migration services.
The partnership aims to reduce barriers for institutions switching to Canvas by automating migration processes and preserving course content, assessments and structure. K16 Solutions specializes in higher education automated data management and uses its cloud-native Scaffold Platform for data warehouse automation, migration and archiving.
"Switching platforms can be complex and disruptive, especially when institutions need to protect content integrity, maintain continuity, and keep teaching and learning moving forward," said Kevin Martin, vice president of sector strategy at Instructure. "Our exclusive partnership with K16 Solutions gives customers a clear path to Canvas — protecting critical course content while moving forward with confidence and speed."
Sam Yaghoubi, SVP of Partnerships at K16 Solutions, said most institutions the company supports in LMS migrations are choosing Canvas as their next learning platform. The partnership builds on an existing relationship between the two companies.
Instructure develops Canvas LMS and operates across K-12, higher education and workforce learning sectors. The company's learning ecosystem connects educational tools, assessment platforms, analytics and credentialing systems. K16 Solutions serves educational institutions globally with data management solutions designed to reduce implementation time and costs.
The announcement comes as educational institutions evaluate alternatives to legacy LMS platforms, according to the press release statement.
