iA Financial Group announced a strategic partnership with PINQ² to explore quantum computing applications in the Canadian insurance industry. The collaboration makes iA Financial the first Canadian insurer to partner with PINQ²'s Advanced Hybrid Platform, which combines classical and quantum computing capabilities.

The partnership aims to leverage quantum computing to enhance iA Financial's operations and services. The company plans to use the technology to advance financial modeling, portfolio management, risk analysis and client experience personalization.

Through the collaboration, iA Financial will access PINQ²'s quantum ecosystem, working with partners including Enterprise Quantum and the AlgoLab at the Institut quantique. PINQ² operates Canada's first Advanced Hybrid Platform, integrating classical, quantum and hybrid computing systems.

Marie-Claude Messier, General Manager at PINQ², described the partnership as an important milestone for the organization. Quebec Minister Jean Boulet noted the province's position in quantum technologies, supported by the DistriQ innovation zone and PINQ².
