Roadzen wins $2.5 million contract for AI safety system on 3,000 trucks

Roadzen Inc. (NASDAQ: RDZN) announced its drivebuddyAI platform secured a $2.5 million contract to deploy AI-powered safety systems across 3,000 heavy-duty trucks operated by an Indian fleet company. The agreement includes potential expansion to 10,000 vehicles over five years.

The deployment covers a six-camera advanced driver assistance system that monitors driver drowsiness, performs facial recognition for driver identification, tracks cabin occupancy, scores driver safety and technical skills, and provides cloud-based voice communication capabilities.

The customer is an existing drivebuddyAI operator that elected to expand its use of the platform after testing it in live fleet conditions. According to the company, the fleet operator has doubled annually for several years and expects to reach 10,000 vehicles within five years, representing potential total contracted value of approximately $10 million.

"India's fleet safety market is at an inflection point," said Rohan Malhotra, Founder and CEO of Roadzen. "The most sophisticated fleet operators are not waiting for mandates to kick in. They are voluntarily adopting those standards today and selecting platforms that go well beyond minimum compliance."

The drivebuddyAI platform has been trained on over 4 billion kilometers of driving data across Indian roads and has demonstrated a greater than 70% reduction in on-road risk events across deployed fleets, according to the company's press release.

Roadzen, headquartered in Burlingame, California, develops AI technology for insurance and mobility applications, serving clients across North America, Europe, and Asia.
