FTI Consulting hires 10 senior executives for cybersecurity practice

FTI Consulting Inc. (NYSE: FCN) announced the appointment of 10 senior executives to expand its cybersecurity, data privacy and information governance capabilities. The firm hired five Senior Managing Directors and five Managing Directors.

The new hires include Akshay Dhawan in Washington, D.C., who brings over 20 years of cybersecurity and digital transformation experience. David Manek joins in Chicago as a data privacy specialist focused on regulatory change management. Matt McClelland, based in Charlotte, has more than two decades of experience in data and information governance.

Ankur Sheth joins the New York office with expertise in cybersecurity strategy and risk management. Colleen M. Yushchak, based in Washington, D.C., brings 25 years of experience in technology and legal challenges with focus on regulatory risk and data protection.

The five Managing Directors are Mir Ali in Chicago, Emily Cohen in Chicago, David Farber in Charlotte, Matt Flora in New York, and Kenric Tom in Miami. Each brings specialized experience in areas including data governance, privacy compliance, forensic investigation, and cybersecurity risk management.

Ferrante, Global Head of the Cybersecurity practice at FTI Consulting.

Sophie Ross, Global Chief Executive Officer of the Technology segment at FTI Consulting, noted that data growth and privacy regulations are creating more complex compliance requirements for clients.

The appointments come as the consulting firm seeks to address market demand in cybersecurity and data privacy services, according to the company's statement.
