KBR wins $510 million contract for defense analytics services

KBR (NYSE: KBR) announced its Mission Technology Solutions business received a $510 million contract to provide data and analytics support services to the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Cost Assessment and Program Evaluation Joint Data Support Division.

The five-year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contract uses a mixed structure including Firm-Fixed-Price, Labor-Hour and Time and Materials contract types. Work will be performed primarily at the Pentagon and in Alexandria, Virginia.

Under the contract, KBR will collect and organize data on equipment, capabilities, force structure and global deployments to support Department of Defense decision-making. The company will provide analytical solutions to help interpret information about U.S. and foreign military forces.

"KBR is dedicated to equipping the DoD with mission-critical insights needed to drive timely, expedited and well-informed decisions," said Stuart Bradie, KBR President and CEO.

The contract represents KBR's entry into a new mission area within the Office of the Secretary of Defense. The company will apply analytical techniques and digital capabilities to support the department's strategic priorities.

KBR employs approximately 36,000 people worldwide with customers in more than 85 countries and operations in over 28 countries, according to the company's press release.
