Ooma adds monitoring features to AirDial device management platform
Ooma Inc. (NYSE: OOMA) announced new features for its Remote Device Management platform for the AirDial system, which replaces traditional copper phone lines for analog devices.
The updates include Equipment Disconnect Detection, which alerts users when devices are unplugged from AirDial ports, and Extended Off-Hook Alerts that notify users when devices remain off-hook without an active call for more than 120 seconds. Both features are exclusive to AirDial, according to the company.
Additional enhancements include real-time port status displays showing active use and connection status, expanded call log data with device address and location details, and extended historical charting data covering up to 30 days for trend analysis.
The features also include partner controls and improvements to global search functionality within the platform.
"These enhancements give our customers deeper visibility and control over their analog infrastructure," said Thad White, vice president of product management at Ooma. "From detecting disconnected devices to ensuring phones are not left off-hook, we're aiming to innovate in ways that improve reliability and peace of mind—especially for organizations that depend on these systems for safety and compliance."
The new capabilities are available through AirDial 2 with the latest client firmware and can be enabled through the Remote Device Management interface.
Ooma provides communications solutions for businesses and consumers, serving more than 1.2 million users. The company offers various products including Ooma Office for small to medium-sized businesses, Ooma AirDial for copper line replacement, and residential services.
