UMB Financial declares quarterly dividends and 2 million share buyback
UMB Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: UMBF) announced its board of directors declared quarterly dividends on both common and preferred stock, according to a company statement.
The Kansas City-based financial services company set a common stock dividend of $0.43 per share, payable July 1, 2026, to shareholders of record as of June 10, 2026.
For its Series B 7.75% preferred stock (UMBFO), the company declared a dividend of $193.75 per share, resulting in $0.484375 per depositary share. The preferred stock dividend will be paid July 15, 2026, to stockholders of record as of June 30, 2026.
The board also approved a share repurchase program authorizing the buyback of up to 2 million shares of common stock. The repurchases may occur at management's discretion through the regular board meeting following the company's 2027 annual shareholder meeting.
Under the program, UMB Financial may acquire shares through open market or privately negotiated transactions. Repurchased shares may be available for reissuance or resale, including for the company's compensation plans and dividend reinvestment plan.
UMB Financial operates commercial banking, personal banking, and institutional banking services across 14 states including Missouri, Arizona, California, Colorado, Iowa, Kansas, Illinois, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Wisconsin.
