Flyte adds Vision Jets for northeast summer travel routes
Flyte, the regional air mobility subsidiary of Catheter Precision Inc. (NYSE American: VTAK), announced it is expanding its Cirrus Vision Jet fleet to serve increased summer demand for flights between New York City and destinations including East Hampton, Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, Newport and Cape Cod.
The company said the routes target travel corridors where car or ferry trips can take three to six hours during peak summer traffic, while Vision Jet flights typically take 30 to 60 minutes. Flyte operates through its wholly owned subsidiary Ponderosa Air LLC, an FAA-certified Part 135 air carrier.
"Demand across our core Northeast markets is accelerating as we head into peak season," said Marc Sellouk, CEO of Flyte. "Concentrated demand, repeat travel patterns, and limited efficient alternatives create a strong opportunity, and we are scaling the fleet to meet it."
The expansion comes as major airlines continue reducing short-haul service, according to the company. Flyte positions itself as serving high-net-worth individuals who travel regularly between primary and secondary residences in the Northeast region.
The service targets customers seeking alternatives to commercial travel challenges including security delays, schedule disruptions and crowded terminals. Inter-destination travel between summer markets is expected to represent additional opportunity, particularly for customers with multiple residences.
Flyte said the short-haul private aviation segment remains fragmented without a clearly defined consumer-focused brand. The company is positioning itself through operational execution, customer experience and targeted route density.
The information is based on a company press release statement.
