Funko appoints Nik Rupp as senior VP of brand and marketing
Funko Inc. (NASDAQ: FNKO) announced the appointment of Nik Rupp as Senior Vice President of Brand and Marketing. Rupp will oversee global marketing strategy, brand storytelling, and events for the pop culture collectibles company.
Rupp joins Funko with more than 12 years of experience in brand marketing, digital innovation, and product creation. He previously served as Senior Director of Brand & Product at Nike Virtual Studios, where he led the launch of .SWOOSH and managed physical and virtual product creation and cross-platform consumer experiences.
During his tenure at Nike, Rupp directed several collaborations including the Fortnite Kicks partnership and the Yu-Gi-Oh! x Nike Air Max 95 collaboration. He also contributed to the launch of NIKELAND on Roblox, marking Nike's entry into gaming. He previously served as Marketing Director for Nike New York City, managing regional brand strategy and lifestyle marketing across the East Coast.

Rupp holds an MBA from Portland State University and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Cologne, Germany. The information comes from a company press release.
