Asure Software Inc. (NASDAQ: ASUR) announced the launch of AsureWorks, a managed service where Asure specialists handle payroll processing and HR administration for employer clients. The service operates alongside the company's existing AsureCentral software platform.

AsureWorks provides an alternative to the self-service model offered through AsureCentral, which is powered by Luna AI technology. Under the new service, clients retain employer of record status while Asure's team manages day-to-day operations including payroll processing, tax filing, employee record management, onboarding, and benefits administration coordination.

"Payroll and HR has to be right, and our clients have been telling us clearly that they want a choice in how they get there," said Pat Goepel, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Asure Software. "AsureWorks is for the clients who would rather have us run the work."

The service differs from Professional Employer Organization models as it does not require co-employment or bundle benefits into fixed packages. Employers maintain control over workforce decisions and can choose their own benefits and retirement plans.

AsureWorks utilizes the same AsureCentral platform and Luna AI automation that existing software clients use. The service includes payroll processing, tax filing, employee record management, onboarding administration, time and pay data coordination, benefits administration coordination, and compliance administration.

The company positions AsureWorks as generating additional recurring revenue from its existing client base. Asure provides payroll and HR solutions for employers and enterprise payroll tax infrastructure for large organizations.
