Bed Bath & Beyond names Kyla Robinson as chief technology transformation officer
Bed Bath & Beyond Inc. (NYSE: BBBY) appointed Kyla Robinson as Chief Technology Transformation Officer, the company announced. Robinson will report to President Amy Sullivan.
Robinson will oversee the development of a unified technology and data platform connecting the company's retail operations, home services, product ecosystem, and financial capabilities. The platform will center around what the company calls its Home Operating System, which integrates customer behavior data, homeownership information, and financial signals.
"Kyla is a proven technology and product leader who understands how to translate data and AI into real customer outcomes," Sullivan said in the announcement.
Robinson's responsibilities include building a unified data and identity layer with integration to Bilt, advancing artificial intelligence capabilities, modernizing platforms across stores and digital services, and driving technology innovation across retail and ecommerce operations.
Robinson brings more than 15 years of experience in digital commerce, product development, and technology leadership. She most recently served at SPANX, where she managed digital commerce, product development, engineering, and customer experience for the direct-to-consumer business. Her previous roles included positions at Nike, Walmart, and Saks Fifth Avenue.
"The opportunity to build a system that connects data, technology, and the full home lifecycle is incredibly compelling," Robinson said.
The appointment comes as Bed Bath & Beyond continues expanding its integrated home ecosystem through retail brands including buybuy BABY, Overstock, and Kirkland's, with a pending merger with The Container Store.
