Evaxion promotes Birgitte Rønø to dual CSO and COO role

Evaxion A/S (NASDAQ: EVAX) announced that Birgitte Rønø, the company's Chief Scientific Officer, will assume additional responsibilities as Chief Operating Officer.



The Copenhagen-based clinical-stage biotechnology company said the promotion follows an internal management review aimed at optimizing operations to execute its strategy and increase external engagement with partners and investors. The company develops vaccines using its AI-Immunology platform.



"I am delighted to announce the promotion of Dr Rønø to the dual role of CSO and COO, reflecting her long contribution to the efficient operation of the company coupled with her deep scientific expertise," said Helen Tayton-Martin, CEO of Evaxion.



Following the change, Evaxion's management team consists of Helen Tayton-Martin as CEO, Birgitte Rønø as CSO and COO, Thomas Schmidt as CFO, and Andreas Mattsson as Chief AI Officer.



Evaxion describes itself as a TechBio company that uses artificial intelligence to develop vaccine candidates for cancer and infectious diseases. The company has developed a pipeline of personalized and off-the-shelf cancer vaccine candidates as well as prophylactic vaccine candidates for infectious diseases.
