Spotify Technology SA (NYSE: SPOT) announced the introduction of guided workout experiences on its platform, expanding beyond music and podcasts into fitness content. The streaming service launched the new feature on April 27, 2026.

Both free and premium users will have access to curated fitness playlists and content from wellness creators including Yoga with Kassandra, Caitlin K'eli Yoga, Sweaty Studio, and Chloe Ting Home Workouts. Premium subscribers in supported markets will receive additional access to more than 1,400 ad-free, on-demand classes through a partnership with Peloton Interactive Inc. (NASDAQ: PTON).

The Peloton catalog includes outdoor runs, strength training, cardio, yoga, and meditation classes from instructors Rebecca Kennedy, Ally Love, and Rad Lopez. No specialized equipment is required for the classes.

"For nearly two decades, Spotify has been the soundtrack to the world's workouts," said Roman Wasenmüller, VP, Global Head of Podcasts at Spotify. "Today, we are expanding Spotify to become a true daily wellness companion."

Spotify reported that approximately 70% of its premium users work out monthly, with more than 150 million fitness playlists currently active globally. Fitness and workout content ranks among the top use cases for the company's Prompted Playlist feature.

Users can access fitness content through the Spotify app on mobile, desktop, or TV devices by searching "fitness" or finding it in the Browse section. Workouts are available primarily in English, with select options in Spanish and German. Classes can be downloaded for offline access.
