AECOM wins U.S. Army Corps contract for environmental cleanup services
AECOM (NYSE: ACM) received a multiple-award environmental services contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Baltimore District, the company announced. The contract enables AECOM to provide environmental remediation solutions focusing on hazardous contaminant reduction through site mitigation and remediation services.
The contract covers environmental remediation services for military and civilian programs and may include locations across the contiguous United States, Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico. Services range from habitat rehabilitation to subsurface contamination treatment and radiological material management.
"For more than 40 years, AECOM has proudly partnered with the USACE Baltimore District to advance environmental cleanup initiatives that protect communities and restore ecosystems," said Frank Sweet, chief executive of AECOM's Environment business.
AECOM plans to use predictive modeling and data collection tools for field analysis and data quality improvement. The company will deploy scientists, engineers, environmental specialists, biologists, ecologists, chemical engineers and health physicists for the various remediation projects.
The Dallas-based infrastructure company reported revenue of $16.1 billion in fiscal year 2025. AECOM provides professional services in water, environment, energy, transportation and buildings sectors for public and private clients.
