Happy Belly Food Group Inc. (CSE: HBFG) (OTCQB: HBFGF) announced an area development agreement for 15 new Yolks Breakfast locations in Alberta, according to a company statement.

The agreement brings Happy Belly's total contractually committed Yolks Breakfast units to 76 across nine provinces in Canada. The company's broader portfolio now includes 681 units under development agreements across multiple restaurant brands.

"Leveraging the strong franchising interest in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec, and the Atlantic Provinces, we are excited to develop Alberta under an official area development agreement as we look forward to expanding Yolks into a leading national brand," said Sean Black, Chief Executive Officer of Happy Belly.

Yolks Breakfast operates as a restaurant brand serving breakfast, brunch and lunch. The Toronto-based Happy Belly Food Group focuses on acquiring and scaling food brands across Canada.

The company operates through a combination of franchised growth and corporate store openings. Black stated the company plans to establish Yolks as a recognized national brand in every Canadian province.

Happy Belly's expansion strategy includes both the Yolks brand and other restaurant concepts at various stages of development, construction and operation across its portfolio.
