Nano Labs and ALT5 Sigma sign MOU to explore North America AI data centers
Nano Labs Ltd (NASDAQ: NA) and ALT5 Sigma Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTS) signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding to evaluate potential collaboration in AI data centers, Agent Cloud platforms, and AI-native payment systems in North America.
The agreement establishes a 90-day evaluation period during which the companies will assess technical feasibility and commercial viability across three areas. ALT5 Sigma, which is changing its name to AI Financial Corporation and ticker symbol to AIFC, operates global payments, trading, and settlement infrastructure.
The companies plan to explore establishing AI data center infrastructure in North America, including compute requirements for AI workloads and deployment architecture. They will also evaluate developing a cloud-based platform for AI agents and integrating AI-native payment capabilities for machine-driven transactions.
ALT5 will contribute expertise in global payments and financial infrastructure, while Nano Labs will provide capabilities in high-performance computing, chip design, and data center systems. A joint working group with senior representatives from both organizations will coordinate evaluation activities.
The companies stated that advances in artificial intelligence and distributed computing are accelerating development of systems where software agents operate autonomously across cloud environments. They believe there is increasing need for integrated infrastructure spanning compute resources and financial settlement capabilities.
Any future collaboration remains subject to the evaluation results and execution of definitive agreements. The MOU is non-binding and any decision to proceed will be based on demonstrated technical feasibility and commercial applicability.
Nano Labs develops high-performance computing chips and has positioned itself in cryptocurrency assets, adopting BNB as its primary reserve asset. The company operates an integrated platform covering multiple business verticals including computing solutions.
