Beacon Financial Corporation (NYSE: BBT) appointed Gary Levante as chief marketing officer, the Boston-based bank holding company announced.

Levante will serve on the executive management committee and report to President and CEO Paul Perrault. His responsibilities include overseeing brand strategy, marketing, communications and public affairs for the company.

In his new role, Levante will focus on establishing Beacon's brand identity, enhancing client engagement and developing integrated marketing programs. He previously served as chief communication and sustainability officer at Berkshire Bank, a position he held since joining the company in 2010.

"Gary's extensive subject matter expertise, ability to drive business growth, navigate complex topics, build high-performing teams, and deep understanding of our business, clients and communities make him the ideal choice for this critical executive role," Perrault said.

Levante expressed his commitment to the role, stating he looks forward to "partnering with the management committee, board, and all my Beacon colleagues to establish the brand, strengthen client experience, support disciplined growth across our business and enhance long-term value for our clients and stockholders."

A Massachusetts native, Levante serves as chairperson for the national nonprofit America's Charities and holds positions on various community boards including the Massachusetts Bankers Association State Legislative & Regulatory Affairs Committee.

Beacon Financial Corporation operates as the holding company for Beacon Bank, a regional bank serving the Northeast with $23.2 billion in assets and more than 145 branches across New England and New York.
