CrowdStrike launches Project QuiltWorks to address AI-found vulnerabilities

April 23, 2026 9:17 AM

CrowdStrike (NASDAQ: CRWD) launched Project QuiltWorks, an industry coalition designed to address vulnerabilities in production code discovered by artificial intelligence models. The initiative includes partners Accenture, EY, IBM Cybersecurity Services, Kroll, and OpenAI.

The coalition aims to help organizations assess, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities identified by frontier AI models from OpenAI and Anthropic. Project QuiltWorks leverages CrowdStrike's Falcon platform, which processes trillions of security events daily, to apply adversary intelligence and attack path analysis for vulnerability prioritization.

CrowdStrike also introduced the Frontier AI Readiness and Resilience Service, offering continuous expert-led engagements to customers. The service is available as a 12-month renewable subscription through Falcon Flex dollars.

"As frontier AI accelerates vulnerability discovery, every board in the world is asking their CISO the same question: are we exposed and are we protected?" said George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike. "Project QuiltWorks is how the industry comes together to give every organization the answer their board needs."

The coalition provides assessment of current security programs, AI-powered scanning of applications and code bases, risk prioritization by exploitability and business impact, and guided remediation with board-level analysis. The network includes over 10,000 certified professionals across partner organizations.

According to the announcement, frontier AI models can identify logic bugs, design flaws, misconfigurations, and novel exploit paths that automated scanners and human reviews might miss. This development reduces the time window between vulnerability discovery and potential exploitation.

Project QuiltWorks and the AI vulnerability assessment are available immediately, according to the company statement.
