Merlin and Remah International form exclusive UAE autonomy partnership
Merlin, Inc. (NASDAQ: MRLN) announced an exclusive teaming agreement with Remah International Group to introduce autonomous flight capabilities to the United Arab Emirates. The partnership will focus on identifying aircraft platforms and use cases for Merlin's AI-powered autonomy technology in the UAE market.
Under the agreement, Remlin Labs, a subsidiary of Merlin, will work with the privately held UAE-based Remah International Group to evaluate autonomous flight systems. Remah International Group will support implementation and long-term sustainment efforts for the technology.
The Boston-based aerospace and defense technology company develops autonomous flight operating systems. Merlin's Pilot system has completed hundreds of autonomous flights from test facilities globally and has received contracts from military customers, according to the company's statement.
Remah International Group has operated as a partner to the UAE Armed Forces for over 30 years, providing military and commercial products and services in the region.
"The Middle East is a critical region for the introduction of aviation autonomy, driven by its strong adoption of advanced technologies," said Matt George, CEO and founder of Merlin. "We are intentionally working with forward-leaning countries investing in the future of aviation."
Damian Killeen, Advisor to the Chairman of Remah International Group, stated that the UAE positions itself as a leader in technological evolution and expressed support for aerospace autonomy development.
The agreement establishes an exclusive partnership for autonomous flight systems in the UAE as both companies aim to assess applications across defense and commercial aviation sectors.
