Tempus partners with USC medical school to integrate AI precision medicine
Tempus AI Inc. (NASDAQ: TEM) announced a collaboration with the Keck School of Medicine of USC and Keck Medicine of USC to integrate artificial intelligence-driven precision medicine across USC's healthcare network, according to a company statement.
The partnership will affect more than 1.5 million annual patient visits across the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, Keck Hospital of USC, USC Verdugo Hills and USC-affiliated hospitals and clinics in Southern California.
The collaboration includes four components: clinical testing that integrates Tempus' molecular diagnostics and genomic profiling into Keck Medicine's workflows; clinical trial matching through Tempus' TIME Trial Program to identify eligible patients; AI-driven clinical care gap pathways to identify care gaps; and joint research and development of AI tools.
"By working closely with Tempus, and in collaboration with clinical, research, and operational leaders across USC, we are aligning research, clinical care, and innovation priorities that put the patient first," said Vasiliki Anest, Chief Innovation Officer at the Keck School of Medicine of USC.
Ezra Cohen, Chief Medical Officer of Oncology at Tempus, said the collaboration brings together "Tempus' AI-powered platform with USC's world-class research and clinical expertise."
Tempus operates a technology platform for precision medicine using artificial intelligence and maintains what it describes as one of the world's largest libraries of multimodal medical data. The Chicago-based company provides AI-enabled solutions to physicians for personalized patient care and therapeutic development.
