XPEL Inc. (NASDAQ: XPEL) announced the appointment of Mark A. Thornton to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Thornton brings over 28 years of experience at Procter & Gamble Company, where he currently serves as Vice President of Global Baby Care, Feminine Care, and Family Care Quality Assurance. In this role, he oversees quality for brands including Pampers, Always, and Bounty. His expertise spans innovation, strategy, consumer research, and materials science.

During his tenure at P&G, Thornton spent nearly 14 years working internationally across China, Europe, and the United States. He previously led the expansion of Pampers across the Asia-Pacific region and helped establish P&G's China business operations, including local manufacturing capabilities and new product portfolio launches.

XPEL is a San Antonio-based provider of protective films and coatings, including automotive paint protection film, surface protection film, window films, and ceramic coatings. The company operates globally with a network of trained installers and proprietary software systems.
