ZenaTech Inc. (NASDAQ: ZENA) announced the registration of Phoenix Aero LLC as a Ukrainian limited liability company based in Lviv, according to a company statement. The subsidiary will manufacture and test counter-unmanned aircraft systems including the Interceptor P-1 drone.

Phoenix Aero will operate as part of ZenaTech's EMEA operations, overseen from the company's Dublin, Ireland headquarters. The company stated it is hiring engineers, drone pilots, manufacturing technicians, software developers, and business development specialists for the Ukraine operation.

"Establishing Phoenix Aero in Lviv is a strategic step that positions us in Western Ukraine at the center of one of the most dynamic real-world environments known for its ecosystem of drone companies and drone innovation," said Shaun Passley, ZenaTech CEO.

The Interceptor P-1 is described as a one-way expendable interceptor drone targeted to sell for less than $5,000. ZenaTech stated the Ukraine entity aligns with plans to pursue defense opportunities in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar.

ZenaTech develops AI drone solutions, drone-as-a-service offerings, enterprise software, and quantum computing solutions for business, government, and defense applications. The company operates through offices in North America, Europe, Taiwan, and the UAE.

The company stated it remains committed to compliance with applicable regulations including export and trade controls, with further operational updates planned for the coming months.
