April 23, 2026 7:30 AM

Corvus Pharmaceuticals Inc. (NASDAQ: CRVS) appointed Andrew C. Chan, M.D., Ph.D., to its board of directors, the clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company announced.

Chan served as Senior Vice President, Research Biology at Genentech for 25 years until 2025, leading biological research across therapeutic areas and contributing to the development of FDA-approved medicines for oncology, neurology and immunology. He joined Genentech in 2001 and held the senior vice president role from 2010 to 2025.

Chan currently serves as Associate Adjunct Professor of Medicine in the Division of Rheumatology at University of California, San Francisco, a position he has held since 2020. He previously held academic positions at Washington University School of Medicine from 1994 to 2001, where he was appointed as a member of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

"The addition of Dr. Chan elevates the scientific perspective of our Board as we continue to identify and advance opportunities for ITK inhibition and immune modulation across immune and inflammatory diseases and cancer," said Richard A. Miller, co-founder, president and chief executive officer of Corvus.

Chan received undergraduate and master's degrees in Chemistry from Northwestern University and M.D. and Ph.D. degrees from Washington University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Barnes Hospital and clinical fellowship in rheumatology at UCSF.

Corvus is developing ITK inhibition as an approach to immunotherapy for immune diseases and cancer. The company's lead product candidate, soquelitinib, is being evaluated in a Phase 3 trial for relapsed/refractory PTCL and a Phase 2 trial for atopic dermatitis.
