April 23, 2026 6:00 AM

GE Vernova (NYSE: GEV) announced its Wind segment secured agreements to supply 71.5 megawatts of onshore wind turbines to BBWind and Greenvolt Power for projects across Germany. The company said the deals were booked in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The agreements include continued collaboration with BBWind, a Münster-based developer that focuses on regional community wind projects. The deal with Greenvolt Power represents work with a large-scale renewable energy developer in the German market.

GE Vernova operates a 70,000 square meter manufacturing facility in Salzbergen, Germany, that produces machine heads, drive trains and hubs. The facility serves customers across Europe and Asia.

Germany installed approximately 4.6 gigawatts of onshore wind capacity in 2024 and has set a target of generating 80% of its electricity from renewable sources by 2030.

"We are proud to deepen our relationship with BBWind and embark on this significant volume of work with Greenvolt Power," said Gilan Sabatier, GE Vernova's chief commercial officer for onshore wind international markets. "These orders for over 70 MWs demonstrate the trust our customers place in our workhorse turbines to deliver reliable, renewable energy."

Michael Schlüß of BBWind said the cooperation with GE Vernova reflects "the reliability and performance of their technology in the community wind sector."

GE Vernova's Wind segment has installed approximately 59,000 turbines with more than 120 gigawatts of capacity worldwide, according to the press release.
