ServiceNow and Google Cloud expand partnership with AI agents

April 22, 2026 4:10 PM

ServiceNow (NYSE: NOW) and Google Cloud announced an expanded partnership at Google Cloud Next in Las Vegas, introducing AI solutions that enable autonomous operations across enterprise systems. The companies unveiled AI agents that work across Google's Gemini Enterprise platform and the ServiceNow AI Platform to detect, diagnose, and resolve problems in 5G networking, retail, and IT systems.

The solutions use a shared interoperability framework built on Agent-to-Agent (A2A), Agent-to-UI (A2UI), and Model Context Protocol (MCP) standards. This framework allows AI agents to exchange information and actions across enterprise environments while operating under unified governance provided by ServiceNow AI Control Tower, Workflow Data Fabric, and Google Cloud BigQuery.

ServiceNow introduced a 5G Autonomous Network Operations solution that uses AI agents to identify and resolve network issues before they affect customers. When performance problems occur, the agents analyze network telemetry, determine root causes, and deploy fixes through automated workflows.

The retail solution combines Google Cloud's predictive intelligence with ServiceNow's workflow orchestration to address equipment failures before they cause downtime. Google Cloud's BigQuery ML with Gemini models detect anomalies and trigger ServiceNow workflows that handle issue triage, parts availability checks, and technician dispatch.

For IT operations, ServiceNow's Autonomous Workforce of AI Specialists powered by Gemini Enterprise will work with ServiceNow's AI Platform to prevent outages. When anomalies are detected, the system assesses impact using configuration management database context and coordinates remediation across platforms.

Google Cloud named ServiceNow its 2026 Partner of the Year across four categories: Global Business Applications, Business Applications: Agentic AI Innovation, Business Applications: Financial Services & Insurance, and Google Workspace: Platform.

The Autonomous Network Operations solution and IT operations integration are available for preview, with general availability planned for later this year. The retail predictive maintenance solution is currently in pilot phase. ServiceNow Zero Copy Connectors to Google Cloud BigQuery and the AI Control Tower integration with Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform are available now.
