Block and Uber expand partnership for restaurant operations and payments

April 22, 2026 8:32 AM

Block Inc. (NYSE: SQ) and Uber Technologies Inc. (NYSE: UBER) announced an expanded global partnership that brings Square's native Uber Eats integration to international markets and introduces Cash App Pay as a payment option on Uber platforms in the United States.

Square's Uber Eats integration, currently available in the U.S., will expand to Canada, Australia, U.K., Ireland, France, and Spain. The integration allows restaurants to manage orders directly through their Square point-of-sale system, eliminating the need for additional tablets and enabling control of menus and inventory from a single dashboard.

Cash App Pay will become available as a payment method on both Uber Eats and Uber in the United States, providing access to 59 million monthly transacting Cash App users. The partnership follows Uber's previous integration with Block's Buy Now, Pay Later solution, Afterpay, in Australia.

"We are thrilled to deepen our relationship with Block and further connect our two ecosystems to create more seamless experiences for both our restaurant partners and consumers," said Susan Anderson, Global Head of Delivery at Uber.

The Square integration enables restaurants to access instant payouts for cash flow management and reach Uber Eats customers while maintaining operational efficiency. Cash App Pay integration provides users with enhanced payment flexibility and access to special offers through Block.

"This global partnership with Uber exemplifies Block's unique ability to create value across our entire ecosystem by serving both sides of the counter simultaneously," said Nick Molnar, Global Head of Sales and Marketing at Block.

The announcement was made through a press release statement from the companies.
