Oracle expands AI database capabilities with Google Cloud partnership

April 22, 2026 8:02 AM

Oracle (NYSE: ORCL) announced an expansion of its partnership with Google Cloud to provide new AI capabilities for enterprise data management. The collaboration introduces the Oracle AI Database Agent for Gemini Enterprise, which allows customers to interact with Oracle data using natural language rather than SQL queries.

The Oracle AI Database Agent is now available in the Google Cloud Marketplace and enables Gemini Enterprise customers to ask business questions in plain language and receive data-driven answers from their Oracle databases. The system can handle queries about revenue trends, regional performance, and product line analysis without requiring users to write SQL code or build custom tools.

Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud has expanded to 15 regions globally, including new availability in Tokyo, Osaka, Mumbai, Delhi, Sydney, Melbourne, Milan, Frankfurt, Montreal, Toronto, São Paulo, London, Iowa, Ashburn, and Salt Lake City. Additional regions in Turin and Mexico are planned within the next 12 months.

New capabilities include Oracle Cloud Infrastructure GoldenGate for real-time database migration and Oracle Autonomous AI Lakehouse integration with Google BigQuery. The GoldenGate service enables simplified migrations to Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud and integrates with BigQuery for near real-time analytics.

Worldline, a European payments provider, is using Oracle Exadata Database Service on Oracle AI Database@Google Cloud to modernize its payment processing platform. AI Shift, a CyberAgent subsidiary in Japan, plans to use the Oracle AI Database Agent to help customers expand their Oracle AI Database deployments.

The information is based on Oracle's press release statement issued April 22, 2026.
