Salesforce and Google Cloud expand AI agent integration partnership
Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) and Google Cloud announced an expanded partnership that enables AI agents to execute workflows across both platforms. The collaboration was revealed at Cloud Next '26 in Las Vegas on April 22, 2026.
The partnership integrates AI agents in Slack and Google Workspace, with Agentforce and Gemini Enterprise providing intelligence and context. Users can convert requests into Google Workspace content through Slackbot, which pulls information from Slack threads, Google Slides, Docs, Sheets, and PDFs.
Key features include Gemini Enterprise accessibility within Slack and Agentforce Sales agents operating within Gemini Enterprise for lead engagement, meeting briefs, and CRM updates. The integration allows Agentforce to natively support Gemini models through the Atlas Reasoning Engine, enabling processing of text, image, and video formats.
The companies are implementing zero-copy technology that allows Agentforce to read data from Google Lakehouse without data migration. This builds on existing Zero Copy technology used by hundreds of customers across Data 360 and Google BigQuery.
"Our deepened partnership with Google Cloud gives joint customers exactly that, so they can deploy Agentforce across every part of their business," said Srini Tallapragada, President and Chief Engineering Officer at Salesforce.
Availability varies by feature. Slack Enterprise Search for Gmail and Google Drive is currently available, while Agentforce Sales in Gemini Enterprise is in open beta. Gemini Enterprise in Slack launches in April 2026, with other features rolling out through late 2026.
The announcement includes customer testimonials from Wayfair, Pepkor, and Bionic regarding their implementation of the integrated AI systems across their operations.
