ADTRAN expands GLDS partnership for automated subscriber management
ADTRAN Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: ADTN) announced an expansion of its partnership with GLDS to provide billing-driven automation for subscriber lifecycle management. The collaboration integrates ADTRAN's Intellifi managed Wi-Fi platform with GLDS BroadHub system to automate processes from order entry through ongoing service management.
The joint solution enables subscriber creation, service activation and configuration updates to be triggered directly from the BroadHub billing system and applied automatically across access networks and in-home Wi-Fi environments. This approach aims to reduce manual processes that occur between billing, operations support systems and in-home networking equipment.
According to the companies, the integration supports automated subscriber onboarding, simplifies service changes, and maintains consistent configurations during device replacements or upgrades, including transitions to Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 systems. The solution uses open, standards-based interfaces within multi-vendor environments.
"By extending BroadHub billing-driven automation all the way through to in-home Wi-Fi, we're taking the pain out of manual hand-offs that slow activation and increase operational overhead," said Garrick Russell, president and COO of GLDS.
Philip Bednarz, general manager of software platforms at ADTRAN, stated that the integration connects in-home Wi-Fi management to the same operational workflows used for network services, using open interfaces rather than closed systems.
The partnership targets broadband service providers seeking to streamline operations as managed Wi-Fi services scale and subscriber expectations increase. ADTRAN Holdings is also the majority shareholder of Adtran Networks SE, formerly ADVA Optical Networking SE.
