Accenture partners with WaveMaker on agentic AI platform for app development
Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced a strategic collaboration with WaveMaker to help organizations modernize applications using an agentic AI platform. The partnership targets growth-focused companies with annual revenue up to $3 billion.
The collaboration combines Accenture's software engineering expertise with WaveMaker's 2-pass code generation architecture. WaveMaker's platform generates Angular, React, and React Native applications from design files and natural language prompts.
The companies stated the partnership aims to reduce development time and costs while maintaining security for organizations in regulated industries. The platform includes built-in guardrails designed for enterprise-grade application development.
"This collaboration enables our clients to accelerate application modernization and deliver new digital capabilities while maintaining control over costs and reducing operational risk," said Kishore P. Durg, senior managing director in Reinvention Services at Accenture.
WaveMaker CEO Vijay Pullur said the collaboration would help organizations "modernize their legacy systems faster and compete more effectively in a rapidly changing marketplace."
The announcement addresses challenges organizations face with aging systems, outdated skillsets, and rising competitive pressures. The companies positioned the platform as a solution for organizations seeking to adopt AI technology without introducing additional risk or complexity.
WaveMaker is headquartered in the Dallas metropolitan area and serves customers in regulated industries. The company's platform supports application development for teams building long-lived applications at scale.
Accenture employs approximately 786,000 people globally and provides strategy, consulting, technology, and operations services across multiple industries.
