April 21, 2026 7:30 AM

Cross Country Healthcare Inc. (NASDAQ: CCRN) appointed Chris Tyrell as chief information officer to lead the company's technology initiatives and AI platform strategy, according to a company statement.

Tyrell brings more than 20 years of executive technology leadership experience across workforce solutions, staffing, software, and supply chain environments. He most recently served as chief technology officer at Eclipse Advantage, where he led enterprise platform strategy and large-scale systems transformation.

The appointment supports Cross Country's expansion of Intellify, its workforce intelligence platform, and broader enterprise technology capabilities. As CIO, Tyrell will oversee infrastructure, systems modernization, platform integration, cybersecurity, AI enablement, and digital transformation initiatives.

"Technology has to do more than support the business. It has to move it," Tyrell said in the statement. "What drew me to Cross Country is the opportunity to help build a more connected, intelligent, and scalable enterprise."

Kevin Clark, co-founder and chief executive officer of Cross Country, said the company is investing in technology "to lead" rather than "to keep up." Clark noted that Tyrell brings experience and execution capabilities to strengthen the enterprise and scale the Intellify platform.

Cross Country operates as a technology-driven healthcare workforce solutions company, delivering an AI-powered digital platform and advisory services. The company's Intellify platform integrates with hospital systems to provide workforce management across service lines including nursing, allied health, and locums.

The hiring reflects Cross Country's strategy to build an AI-driven operating model designed to strengthen workforce solutions delivery and expand its technology capabilities in predictive workforce intelligence and workflow automation.
