AAR launches AI procurement platform for aviation industry

April 21, 2026 7:03 AM

AAR CORP. (NYSE: AIR) announced the launch of Airvoyant, an AI-powered procurement platform designed for airlines and maintenance, repair, and overhaul organizations. The platform automates parts sourcing processes and integrates with existing enterprise resource planning systems.

Built on Amazon Web Services, Airvoyant connects buyers directly to suppliers, searches available inventory, and consolidates quotes to guide purchasing decisions. The platform integrates with Aeroxchange's network of more than 5,000 suppliers and works with Trax and other ERP systems.

The platform's AI agents analyze supplier quotes and generate purchase recommendations based on historical procurement data, including past transactions, pricing patterns, and supplier performance. Additional AI agents focused on demand consolidation, vendor optimization, and automated negotiation are expected to launch later this year.

Delta Air Lines and Air Canada are providing feedback as subject matter experts, while Air Europa, Allegiant, Atlas Air, JetBlue, Thai Airways, and Virgin Atlantic are serving as launch partners and advisors.

"AAR continues to invest in our transformative software platforms to bring increased efficiency to all corners of the aviation industry," said John M. Holmes, AAR's Chairman, President and CEO. "Airvoyant represents the first scalable solution to deliver agentic AI to airlines and MROs."

Airvoyant becomes the third company in AAR's aviation software portfolio, following Trax and Aerostrat. AAR is a global aerospace and defense aftermarket solutions company with operations in over 20 countries, headquartered in the Chicago area.

The information is based on a company press release statement.
