Compass Pathways partners with Osmind to prepare clinics for psychedelic care
Compass Pathways plc (NASDAQ: CMPS) announced a collaboration with Osmind to help small and medium-sized clinics prepare for potential psychedelic treatment delivery if the FDA approves such therapies.
Osmind operates a network of over 1,000 interventional psychiatry practices across the United States. The collaboration aims to identify operational, clinical, and infrastructure requirements for independent psychiatry practices to deliver psychedelic treatments in community-based settings.
The partnership will focus on developing scalable delivery models for Compass's investigational COMP360 synthetic psilocybin treatment. COMP360 has received Breakthrough Therapy designation from the FDA for treatment-resistant depression.
"A core focus for Compass is to ensure that COMP360 can be delivered responsibly, safely, and effectively in the real-world settings where patients receive care," said Dr. Steve Levine, Chief Patient Officer at Compass Pathways.
Jimmy Qian, Co-Founder and President of Osmind, stated that independent psychiatry practices serve the majority of patients but have historically faced barriers in adopting innovative treatments due to operational challenges.
Compass Pathways is a biotechnology company developing mental health treatments. The company is headquartered in London with offices in New York. Osmind is a public benefit corporation that provides technology and services to psychiatry practices.
The collaboration expands Compass's existing partnerships aimed at establishing delivery pathways for COMP360 across various healthcare settings in the United States.
