SAIC receives $75.2M task order for naval aviation systems support
Science Applications International Corp. (NASDAQ: SAIC) received a $75.2 million task order under the General Services Administration Personnel and Readiness Infrastructure Support Management contract to support the Naval Air Systems Command.
The company will provide engineering and sustainment services for NAVAIR's systems used to manage aviation systems and troubleshooting support. SAIC will also work on development and integration efforts for the Navy's aerial refueling system for the MQ-25 Stingray unmanned platform.
The task order supports NAVAIR program offices including PMA-201 for common aircraft support equipment, PMA-260 for support equipment sustainment, and PMA-268 for aerial refueling system advancement for the MQ-25. Managed platforms include the F/A-18 Hornet, P-8A Poseidon, SH-60 Seahawk, and MQ-25 Stingray.
"For more than 20 years, we have worked hand in hand with the Navy to deliver mission-critical solutions that are grounded in science and engineering excellence and battlefield operational success," said Barbara Supplee, SAIC Executive Vice President of the Army Navy Business Group.
SAIC will use predictive analytics and digital engineering tools to improve reliability and reduce downtime of aircraft support equipment systems. The company stated this builds on two decades of collaboration with the Navy.
SAIC is headquartered in Reston, Virginia, and reported annual revenues of approximately $7.3 billion with about 23,000 employees.
