Ardelyx names Felecia Ettenberg as chief legal officer
Ardelyx Inc. (NASDAQ: ARDX) appointed Felecia W. Ettenberg as chief legal officer, the biopharmaceutical company announced. Ettenberg will oversee legal, compliance, regulatory, and government affairs operations.
Ettenberg brings more than 25 years of legal experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. She previously spent nearly 25 years at Bristol Myers Squibb (NYSE: BMY), where she most recently served as senior vice president and deputy general counsel. In that role, she led legal support across the organization and advised C-suite executives.
Before joining Bristol Myers Squibb, Ettenberg practiced law at Goodwin Procter LLP and Heidell, Pittoni, Murphy & Bach, P.C., focusing on pharmaceutical litigation.
Ettenberg earned a Bachelor of Arts from Cornell University magna cum laude and a Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law. She has completed specialized programming at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and Columbia University.
Ettenberg succeeds Elizabeth Grammer, who is retiring after 16 years with the company.
Ardelyx develops and commercializes medicines for unmet medical needs. The company has two commercial products approved in the United States: IBSRELA and XPHOZAH, both containing tenapanor. The company's pipeline includes Phase 3 development of IBSRELA for chronic idiopathic constipation and RDX10531, a next-generation NHE3 inhibitor.
