enCore Energy names Richard Little as CEO, William Sheriff returns as chair

April 20, 2026 7:02 AM

enCore Energy Corp. (NASDAQ: EU) announced Richard H. Little has been appointed chief executive officer, replacing Robert Willette effective immediately. The independent members of the board of directors voted unanimously on the appointment.

Little will also join the company's board of directors. William M. Sheriff, enCore's founder and former executive chair, has returned to his role as executive chair at the board's request.

The uranium company stated its board is committed to a corporate renewal program focused on improved shareholder communications, cost management, securing permits, developing assets, and pursuing acquisitions.

"With William Sheriff's proven vision and guidance, combined with Richard Little's strong track record as a seasoned operator who focuses on execution and operational rigor, enCore will be better positioned to deliver a more disciplined approach to maximizing shareholder returns," said Mark Pelizza, enCore's lead independent director.

Little brings over 30 years of industry experience. He previously served as CEO of Ajax Resources LLC, which sold substantially all of its Northern Midland Basin assets to Diamondback Energy Inc. for $1.24 billion. He also served as CEO of Halcon Resources during a pre-packaged bankruptcy that cleared over $750 million in debt, later reorganizing the company as Battalion Oil, which relisted on the NYSE in February 2020.

"After assessing enCore's current operations and comparing them to my own experience, I believe I can add value by cutting costs and driving efficiencies with the goal of becoming a more profitable and successful organization," Little stated.

The company will host a corporate update conference call on April 23, 2026. enCore focuses on uranium extraction using in-situ recovery technology and operates projects in Texas, South Dakota, and Wyoming.
