Once Upon a Farm (NYSE: OFRM) announced its baby food products have received approval for purchase through the Women, Infants and Children nutrition program in California, bringing the company's WIC authorization to 20 states nationwide.

The approval allows families enrolled in WIC to purchase Once Upon a Farm Baby Food Bowls and select pouches at participating California retailers using their program benefits. According to the company, its Baby Food Bowls represent the first and only line of organic, refrigerated baby food eligible under the WIC program. The products are organic, non-GMO, contain no added sugar and are free from artificial flavors and colors.

"We believe that every child deserves the best possible nutrition in their most critical early years," said Jennifer Garner, co-founder of Once Upon a Farm. "WIC authorization in California brings us one important step closer to that vision."

The 20 states where Once Upon a Farm Baby Food Bowls are WIC-authorized include California, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Utah, Virginia and Wyoming.
