Bruker launches MyGenius PRO molecular diagnostics system in Europe
Bruker Corporation (NASDAQ: BRKR) announced the European launch of its MyGenius PRO molecular diagnostics system at ESCMID Global 2026. The automated system uses PCR technology for infectious disease diagnostics and supports continuous loading of samples, consumables, and reagents with random-access operation.
The system automates the complete workflow from patient sample to diagnostic result. At launch, the MyGenius PRO IVDR menu includes assays for Cytomegalovirus and Epstein-Barr virus from whole blood, and BK virus from urine for testing immunocompromised patients.
Bruker plans to expand the menu throughout 2026 to include HIV-1, Hepatitis B virus, Hepatitis C virus, and Human Herpesvirus 6 IVDR assays, along with additional sample matrices.
The platform was developed through a collaboration between ELITechGroup, a Bruker company, and Hitachi High Tech-Corporation. Hitachi High-Tech will introduce the platform in Japan under the tradename LABOSPECT GA-5 with Bruker molecular diagnostic assays for infectious disease testing.
"Timely diagnosis is critical in microbiology and virology," said Dr. Pierangelo Clerici, President of AMCLI. "Fully automated sample-to-result solutions improve turnaround time and support faster clinical response and effective infection monitoring, while enabling laboratories to streamline workflows and ensure compliance with IVDR regulations."
The launch expands Bruker's molecular diagnostics portfolio, which includes InGenius, BeGenius systems, CE-IVD assay menu, and LiquidArray assays for multiplexing and syndromic panel testing.
