GE HealthCare expands AI mammography partnership with RadNet's DeepHealth

April 16, 2026 4:06 PM

GE HealthCare (NASDAQ: GEHC) announced an expanded collaboration with DeepHealth, a subsidiary of RadNet (NASDAQ: RDNT), to advance AI-powered mammography tools for breast cancer screening.

The partnership builds on a 2024 initiative that combined DeepHealth's AI breast cancer screening workflow with GE HealthCare's Senographe Pristina mammography system. The expansion extends the collaboration internationally and adds new components from DeepHealth's Breast Suite solution.

The enhanced offering includes ProFound Pro, which combines cancer detection AI with automated density assessment, and Safeguard Review, an AI workflow that flags complex cases for secondary review. A study of 579,583 exams across 109 sites showed a multistage AI-driven workflow achieved a 21% increase in breast cancer detection rate compared to standard care.

DeepHealth's Breast Suite integrates with GE HealthCare's Pristina Via system to provide cloud-based applications including a multi-modality viewer, cancer detection, automated density assessment, and timely alerts for potentially suspicious cases.

"By integrating Breast Suite AI with our Pristina Via mammography system, we're helping clinicians detect breast cancer early with greater confidence," said Jyoti Gupta, president and CEO of Women's Health and X-ray at GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare plans to showcase additional breast imaging technologies at the Society of Breast Imaging 2026 Annual Symposium, including Pristina Recon DL deep learning reconstruction technology and the Invenia ABUS automated breast ultrasound system for dense breast screening.

The announcement coincides with the Society of Breast Imaging Annual Symposium, where GE HealthCare is displaying its breast imaging portfolio.
